Cool air and a shift in the wind helped firefighters on the Colockum Tarps Fire in eastern Kittitas County Wednesday night, and Cooke Canyon residents were allowed to return home this morning. The Secret Canyon, Parke Creek and Coleman Canyon areas — where firefighters were working to protect structures Wednesday — remain closed.
