They go on to say the eagles are increasing in numbers, blah blah.
In a tiny paragraph at the bottom of the page it says; This time last year there were 260 eagles. A reduction of 50%. I tried to find through the wildlife site the stats. on eagle populations and it does not exist.

The bill, is infamous for its language on indefinite detention, and "disappearing" of American citizens. Once again, the bill was past via Fast-Tracking while most of the country was sidelined on the Phil Robertson issue with Duck Dynasty.

After weeks of intense pressure from the Center for Biological Diversity and other groups, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service just admitted to excluding key wolf experts from the scientific analysis of its infamous, nationwide wolf-delisting plan. The Service has dissolved its hand-picked panel and turned over the entire review process to an independent research institute. Now the nation's top wolf scientists --once improperly disqualified for questioning the Service's proposal to delist wolves -- will be reconsidered as candidates for the review panel.

This is a victory in our fight to keep federal protections for gray wolves -- but another battle is raging in the northern Rockies and Great Lakes. The wolf-killing season is starting, and hunters and trappers are lining up by the thousands.

In case you missed my last email, the Center urgently needs 6,000 wolf heroes to counter 6,000 wolf killers in Montana. Will you help now by giving to our Wolf Defense Fund and become a hero for these beleaguered animals?

It’s finally here — the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, launches today. By March, everyone must have health insurance or pay a penalty. Most people who currently have insurance provided by their employer won’t be affected.

In Washington state, the insurance-exchange marketplace opened this morning as the Washington Healthplanfinder, a one-stop shopping site to help people find health insurance.

This Wednesday, September 25 we have the chance to tell the world that we that we don’t want coal trains coming through Spokane en route to Southwest Washington. We deserve better.
This is our official public opportunity to sayNO to the proposed coal export facility and to voice our concerns about specific impacts.Please come to the hearing, submit a comment, and testify.

If approved, the Millennium Bulk Terminals proposal in Longview, WA would be the largest permitted coal export terminal in the United States with plans to export 44 million tons of coal annually. Right now, the three agencies involved in issuing permits are trying to decide which impacts to take into account in their decision making process.We would get an additional 16 extra trains every 24 hours!

In addition to saying NO to coal exports, this is your opportunity to provide input on what impacts you believe should be considered in the environmental analysis for Millennium’s coal export proposal. There are a myriad of potential impacts from increased train and shipping traffic, to our fragile eco-system, to our air quality and water quality, to global warming and more.What’s important is that you voice your concerns.
